About the wiki: ECO ARCHITECTURE (www.ecoarchwiki.net) :
ECO ARCHITECTURE is a collaborative web knowledge-base presenting best practice of European sustainable architecture - with a specific focus on integrated energy design. ECO ARCHITECTURE(www.ecoarchwiki.net) is both a source of inspiration and an opportunity to advertise your competence in sustainable architecture. The idea is to show the best practice as an inspiration for architects, developers, municipalities and the construction business. The wiki currently consists 47 buildings from 10 European countries. The projects presented contains a description, illustrations, and key figures. The buildings are both searchable and categorized (technology, typology, location). The knowledge-base is built as a a type of collaborative web site – a wiki - and encourages, and is based on, the content contributions from the readers. Access to the Wiki is needed to create and edit projects. We encourage new users to contribute by adding new buildings or translating text by others into other European languages. Apply for membership here or read more about how to edit and add articles at the help pages.
LEARN London Metropolitan University has developed the Wiki in cooperation with National Association of Norwegian Architects (NAL | Ecobox). NAL | Ecobox is responsible for further administration.
"I have been looking at the EcoarchiWiki site, and it seems to me that this site has a great potential to become a central depository for thousand of case studies, if resources can be found to manage it" Nils Larsson, International Initiative for a Sustainable Built Environment
